Online registration will be open on September 8, 2024 and close on November 15, 2024 (December 15, 2024 for the clinic)

2024-2025 Season

(Leagues are based on the participants age as of September 1, 2024)

  • The CLINIC (Ages 5-6 and first year 7-year-olds) will practice on Saturday afternoons at Vincent Farms Elementary starting on the 2nd Saturday of December
  • For grade level divisions (1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade, 7th Grade+), practices will start early-November and games will start the 2nd Saturday of December
  • The season will run through the middle of March
  • All groups will be playing games in the Emmorton Rec league (the best rec league around)! This will maintain our high level of competition and allow us to play against more teams!

LEVEL DESCRIPTONS

Clinic (5-6 year olds)

The clinic program is an instructional program used to introduce the youngest of players to the game of basketball. The focus is on teaching the fundamentals in a fun environment. The program will meet on Saturday’s at Kingsville Elementary or Vincent Farm Elementary for 90 minutes. The sessions will go over all basic fundamentals of the game. Towards the end of the season, we will engage in full court games. This will give the players their first experience in a game situation and allow them to apply what they have learned throughout the season.

1st/2nd Grade

Teams will practice for 60-90 minutes twice a week at Kingsville Elementary and/or Vincent Farm Elementary School. Games start the 2nd weekend of December and run through February. Players will play a modified zone defense that will allow the offense to move the ball around the court. The focus will be to continue to develop the players fundamentals, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Coaches can be on the court with the players. The girls play on 8’6″ rims. There is no playoffs for this grade level.

3rd/4th Grade

Teams will practice for 90 minutes twice a week at Honeygo Regional Park. Games start the 2nd weekend of December and run through February. The focus will be to continue to develop the players fundamentals, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Games are typically refereed by teenagers that have gone through the program. The girls play on 9′ rims. There will be single elimination playoffs at the end of the season for all teams.

5th/6th Grade

Teams will practice for 90 minutes twice a week at Honeygo Regional Park. Games start the 2nd weekend of December and run through February. The focus will be to continue to develop the players fundamentals, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Games are typically refereed by high school accredited referees. There will be single elimination playoffs at the end of the season for all teams.

7th Grade+

Teams will practice for 90 minutes twice a week at Open Bible Christian Academy and Eastern Regional Park. Games start the 2nd weekend of December and run through February. The focus will be to continue to develop the players fundamentals, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Games are refereed by high school accredited referees. There will be single elimination playoffs at the end of the season for all teams.
